So impressed with the lighting of the show - for the most part it's very realistic.
The cast is putting in top-notch performances as well.
I'm not a fan of Josh Hartnett but he's just fine in this.
I'm bummed by the apparent loss of a character already at the end of episode 2 (though who knows...? I normally have no problem with any sort of accent but I just can't understand a word Billie Piper says (thankfully I found subtitles over on subscene). Nice to see Timothy Dalton back in the lead of something so promising as this!
I didn't mind the similarities to 'League of Extraordinary Gentlemen' at all.
And it doesn't escape me that the lead in 'League...' was The James Bond while the lead in 'Penny...' is another one! It has a slight feel of "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" The story line takes you into the world of the classics i.e.
I wasn't aware that this was Showtime's doing when I first read of it (maybe it slipped my mind! Frankenstein, Jack The Ripper, Vampires, Dorian Gray, Werewolfs etc.
