Kelly Lumpkin was appointed director of the Athletic Training Education Program in the Department of Health, Exercise Science, and Secondary Education within the Helen De Vos College of Education.

Chair, Department of Business Professor of Business Administration Dewayne Thompson, DBA, has served as the Chair of the Department of Business at Lee University since 2006.
He has been listed in Who's Who Among America's Teachers and received Lee's prestigious Excellence in Teaching Award in 1987.
He has served in leadership positions at the university for twelve years and is in his 30th year as a faculty member.
Thompson serves as president of Southeastern Council of Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) and is the chair of the Board of Directors for the Caring Place.
He is an active member at Westmore Church of God and serves on various committees and councils for the Chamber of Commerce and other community agencies, such as United Way.
Thompson and his wife, Cathy, have two daughters, Amie and Lauren.
